The notification would also indicate the duration for which the zipper remained open, providing comprehensive information on the mobile device.

    DuPont’s tweet said he attached Hall Effect sensors to the jeans using safety pins and added a strong magnet to the zipper. This setup requires cables that connect to an ESP-32. As a result, when the zipper is opened, the impact sensor is activated for a few seconds before triggering a notification on the connected phone.
