Education at Le Rosey: Beyond the Conventional, Beyond Borders

December 22, 20232 Mins Read

Le Rosey in Switzerland is a famous and expensive boarding school where students enjoy a unique educational experience. Unlike traditional schools, Le Rosey doesn’t force students to study under pressure. In addition to academic studies, the school provides special arrangements for sports and recreation, offering various sports activities for three months during winter.

La Rosa

Le Rosey is known as Switzerland’s oldest and most expensive boarding school, often referred to as the “school of the rich.” It caters to the children of wealthy individuals worldwide, including billionaires and members of royal families. Renowned figures like the Shah of Iran, King Albert II of Belgium, and descendants of Winston Churchill and the Rockefeller family have been students at  Le Rosey.

With an exorbitant annual tuition fee, equivalent to 96 lakh 18 thousand taka in Bangladeshi currency, the school is financially out of reach for many affluent families.  Le Rosey is recognized for preparing future global leaders. Prospective students can apply for admission through the school’s website.

The educational approach at La Rosa involves initially teaching students French and English languages. The student body comprises individuals from around 70 countries, with a low student-to-teacher ratio of one teacher per five students. The school’s high-quality education enables most students to secure admission to prestigious universities after completing their diploma.

A typical day at  Le Roseystarts with students getting ready for school at 8:30 am. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, and each class consists of a small number of students. At 12:30 pm, students have the opportunity to socialize with friends and spend time in the library. Afternoon activities include sports and games of the students’ choice, fostering an environment where discrimination between rich and poor has no place.

Le Rosey stands as a unique institution that teaches its students valuable lessons, emphasizing that the children of billionaires can aspire to become successful in their own right.
