July 8, 20242 Mins Read

Fujifilm was considered a very popular brand in the camera business. In 2003 and 2004, the company made a profit of 51 million dollars. Fujifilm is mainly a Japan-based company. But when digital cameras became popular among camera lovers, Fujifilm had to face many challenges to sell their products.

In the fiscal year 2013-14, their profit dropped to only one million dollars. It took Fujifilm two decades to regain its place. The X Hundred series camera is a big part of this success. In the fiscal year 2023-24, the company made a net profit of 168 million dollars.

The X Hundred-V camera from Fujifilm features a 26-megapixel lens which plays a vital role. The 26-megapixel camera is very popular among the buyers. The company is struggling to meet the high demand. Because of the high demand and low supply, the camera is sold at higher prices in many markets.

Even after ordering online, customers have to wait for long days. Camera lovers want to see it as a fashion accessory device. TikTok users and social media influencers are the main buyers of this particular camera. Fujifilm started 90 years ago. At that time, it had to compete fiercely with Kodak camera brand. In 2001, Fujifilm surpassed Kodak successfully.

Fujifilm’s success did last for years only. People started using mobile phones and digital cameras to take pictures. Canon and Olympus followed the market demand to gain success. Fujifilm didn’t stop making cameras and doing business completely. They moved most of their production to China. The company also became strong financially by running a vaccination program during the COVID-19 pandemic. But now, its main business is cameras again and looks like Fujifilm will gain it’s place again.
