HMD Global has introduced the Nokia T10 Kids Edition Android tablet in Europe and the United States. This new tablet is designed specifically for children and is based on the Nokia T10 tablet released in September 2022. While the regular version received an update to Android 13 in May, the kids’ edition retains the Android 12 interface.
The Nokia T10 Kids Edition comes with colorful polycarbonate pouches that serve as protective covers for the device. These pouches are intended to safeguard the tablet in case of accidental falls, and they also feature a handle to reduce the risk of dropping. Apart from these protective measures, the tablet appears to retain all the features of the regular Nokia T10.
This device is powered by a UNISOC T606 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It sports an 8-inch LCD screen with an HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Additionally, the tablet includes dual stereo speakers and IPX2 protection for added durability.
There is a 2MP selfie camera on the front and an 8MP camera on the rear. The tablet runs on Android 12 and offers up to three years of monthly security updates, ensuring the device remains secure over time.
To cater to children’s needs, the Nokia T10 Kids Edition comes with the built-in Google Kids Space app, providing a child-friendly environment with age-appropriate content and activities. The tablet also includes the Google Family Link app, allowing parents to manage and control their child’s usage time effectively.
The Nokia T10 Kids Edition with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at $149. Additionally, the colorful polycarbonate casing, available in Green & Cyan, Yellow & Cyan, and Orange & Red color combinations, can be purchased separately for $39.99 each.
