HMD is very known for its Nokia partnership and it is stepping into its own with the upcoming Pulse Pro phone. Despite some excitement, early looks at the device show it’s quite similarity to previous Nokia models. Leaked renders from 91mobiles and Onleaks give us a good glimpse of what to expect from new phone.
The Pulse Pro features a large 6.56-inch 720p IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is powered by an Unisoc T606 processor. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor at the back with another 50MP sensor for selfies and video calls at the front.
While these specs are decent, they’re not groundbreaking, and the design doesn’t break new ground either. Budget phones often stick to familiar designs, and HMD seems to be following suit. It would be nice to see them take a more innovative approach to stand out in the crowded market.
The Pulse Pro is rumored to be priced at 179 EURO or around 190 USD and making it an affordable option for consumers. This is just the beginning for HMD, and they may become more ambitious with future releases once they establish themselves in the market.
