New leaks of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 have provided us with the first real-life glimpse of the device, along with hints of a higher price tag and renders showcasing its color options.
A Twitter user named @Tech_Reve (Revegnus) shared an image of what appears to be the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in a case, designed to keep the device’s design a secret. Despite the case, certain key features can still be confirmed. The leaked image reveals a significantly larger cover display with a folder icon-shaped design.
The display is shown with a clock, likely indicating an ambient or always-on mode. Beneath the display, there are two cameras and an LED flash. The sides of the device feature the same fingerprint sensor and button layout, as well as a hinge that closes completely flat, leaving no gap.
Additionally, Greek publication TechManiacs claims to have obtained pricing information for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. While it’s advisable to take this information with caution, the publication suggests that the device will be priced at €1,299 in Greece, representing a €150 (13%) increase compared to its predecessor.
Furthermore, a Twitter user named Snoopy_Tech shared a cryptic tweet containing binary code, revealing images of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 in their main color variants. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to come in “Lavender,” “Mint,” “Cream,” and “Graphite” colors, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be available in “Icy Blue,” “Cream,” and “Phantom Black.” These color options do not include any exclusive colors that Samsung typically offers on its website or the “Bespoke” customization options.
Samsung has officially announced an upcoming Unpacked event scheduled to take place in South Korea in late July. The event will serve as a platform for launching the new foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as other products like the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
