    Smartphone glass keeps improving, and Corning’s new Gorilla Armor is a significant step forward. It’s the first massive upgrade in a while, and I think it should be on every phone. Gorilla Armor was introduced this year with the Galaxy S24 Ultra device, offering better drop and scratch resistance. It has also improved optical clarity with its antireflective design.

    While Gorilla Armor is not perfect and glass can still break and scratch, it’s tougher than previous versions. Even after a tough test from Max Weinbach, the Galaxy S24 Ultra phone held up better than earlier models. The new glass is more scratch-resistant and it is considered a big improvement.

    But the best part is the antireflective property of Gorilla Armor. It makes using a device much more enjoyable. I’ve been impressed with it since switching from the Galaxy S24 Ultra device to other phones like the Pixel 8 Pro, OnePlus 12, and Honor Magic 6 Pro.     As for the future of Gorilla Armor, it is hard to say. Corning has not hinted at wider availability anytime soon.
