    Level 1 accidents involve minor damage, such as a cracked windshield or damaged bumper. In the case of a Level 1 accident, the system sends a text message with accident details to the vehicle’s pre-set emergency contact.

    Level 2 accidents are more severe, including events like vehicle rollover, oil tank leakage, or wheel detachment. In a Level 2 accident, the system sends a notification message to the pre-set emergency contact and initiates an emergency call to the emergency service center.

    During the emergency call, the system rejects all calls from both emergency and non-emergency contacts. After the emergency call concludes, the system awaits an emergency callback. Throughout this waiting period, any calls from non-emergency contacts are declined. Calls from the emergency contact or emergency service center will be routed through the vehicle’s associated terminal device.

    The system also starts a timer when the emergency rescue wait begins after coordinating with the emergency service center. If the rescue isn’t completed within the designated waiting time, another call will be made to the pre-set emergency contact.

    This advanced system for vehicle crash detection and emergency contact alerts is expected to be featured in the Xiaomi Modena EV. The Modena is also anticipated to incorporate BYD LFP and CATL Qilin batteries, a Snapdragon 8295 processor, and more.
