Inside Out 2
“Inside Out 2” was directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was a very high-grossing film, collecting over $400 million and obtaining excellent reviews. In the opening three weeks of its release, it made over $57 million. Among those are the films that went above the billion-dollar margin.
Dune: Part Two
Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” featuring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, won almost universal critical acclaim for its majestic visual sense and storytelling. It grossed $421.1 million globally—an achievement for becoming truly one of the top-grossing films of the year.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
This is a MonsterVerse follow-up movie, directed by Adam Wingard, that grossed $521.8 million in “Godzilla vs. Kong” as it entertained the audience in this new struggle and journey between Godzilla and Kong.
Kung Fu Panda 4
Starring Jack Black, “Kung Fu Panda 4” enthralled children and families the most. It collected $503.9 million and simply cannot be any less satisfying for fans of the series.
King of the Planet of the Apes
This was Wes Ball’s feature debut in the new age for the “Planet of the Apes” franchise, grossing $478.5 million. The visual beauty of the apocalyptic scenery and characterizations keeps the audience pinned to their seats.
In general, blockbuster films in animation, sci-fi, or action topped the box office this year, especially in Hollywood. Those are pretty diverse films pushing the success of the Hollywood film industry.
