TVS Motor Company, a prominent motorcycle manufacturer in India, has taken a bold step into the world of electric mobility with the launch of its latest electric scooter, simply called “X.” After five years of development from its initial concept known as Creon, the TVS X has finally been unveiled to the public.
The new scooter boasts a futuristic yet simple design that captures attention. It features a vertically stacked LED headlight, a sleek appearance, and visible internal structures at the center, showcasing its modern styling.
On the technology front, the TVS X is equipped with an 11-kilowatt electric motor that can reach speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. With three different ride modes – Xealth, Xtride, and Xonic – the scooter offers versatile performance options. The battery specifications are also impressive, with a 4.44-kilowatt-hour battery pack promising a range of 87.5 miles on a single charge, along with fast-charging capabilities.
Safety has been a top priority in the scooter’s design, as TVS proudly claims that the X is India’s first electric scooter with ABS (anti-lock braking system). The integration of Smart Xhield technology adds modern safety features that can be accessed through the scooter’s 10.25-inch display.
Priced at Rs 249,990 (approximately $3,030), the TVS X falls into the premium segment of the market. Bookings for the scooter will begin in December 2023, with availability varying depending on the region.
