This chipset comes with a built-in neural engine for machine learning features. Even though Qualcomm has shown the potential of this new Snapdragon, it’s up to developers and manufacturers, like Samsung, to bring these AI features to life.
The Galaxy S24 is likely to have AI features, as Samsung has already announced a language model named “Samsung Gauss” for future phones. AI is becoming crucial for smartphones, and having the right parts, like a capable neural engine, will be essential for running new AI software. In the future, certain One UI and Android features may only work on phones with the right neural engine, similar to how specific games require minimum graphics requirements on a PC.
